Accessibility Policy
Accessibility commitments for our site and services (AODA and equivalent provincial laws).
SafeHaven is committed to providing its services and website accessibly, respecting the dignity and independence of people with disabilities. As an organization with more than 50 employees in Ontario, we comply with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and its standards, as well as the Accessible British Columbia Act, The Accessibility for Manitobans Act, Nova Scotia's Accessibility Act and The Accessible Saskatchewan Act.
- Website: meets WCAG 2.0 Level AA (targeting WCAG 2.1 AA): alt text, sufficient contrast, keyboard navigation, labelled forms.
- Customer service: our officers are trained to serve people using assistive devices, service animals or support persons.
- Alternate formats: available on request at no extra cost.
- Employment: accommodations are available at every stage of recruitment and employment.
- Service disruptions: we will post notice of any disruption to accessible facilities or services.
